The opportunity:

Tiled is looking for a seasoned, creative, and self-motivated individual to join our team as the Director of Design Services. The Director of Design Services provides the strategic vision and leads service delivery for Tiled’s creative design services organization. You will be responsible for developing strategies and operations to deliver best-in-class creative design services (i.e., microapp design delivery and UX/UI transformation consulting) to help internal and external customers transform their static content into interactive experiences. The Director of Design Services works to build and scale a creative services business in a fast-moving, transparent and values-led organization to enable customer and company success.

What you’ll do:
  • As Director of Design Services, you will build and lead our design services group. You will:
    • Develop strategic plans to build and evolve Tiled’s microapp design service offerings
    • Create design service offerings aligned to enterprise and mid-market segments, including value positioning, scope of services, collateral and pricing.
    • Lead delivery of design services, overseeing resource management, project delivery and operational success metrics.
    • Own operational metrics such as productivity, customer satisfaction and on-time completion of projects.
    • Build service operations (i.e., people, process, systems and tools) to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
    • Act as an evangelist for services, assisting sales with selling and serving as a sponsor for our strategic customers.
    • Develop and manage a network of certified design partners capable of delivering consistent quality design services to Tiled customers.
Successful Candidates will have:
  • 6+ years of experience managing, leading and/or delivering creative design services to enterprise customers
  • 3+ years leading a professional services business and meeting defined delivery goals
  • Demonstrated understanding of the financial and operational aspects of profitable design service delivery in a software company
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating breadth and depth in visual design and user experience
  • Fluency with digital design tools including Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite etc. 
  • Contribute ideas and collaborate with all levels of the team to produce visually stunning work
  • BFA or equivalent experience
